Charlene Gaudet

Charlene paints in oils and acrylics in varying styles depending on the mood that strikes. Paint brushes, spoons, palette knives, scrapers, all of these and more can be instruments for putting paint on canvas, paper, or boards.

Subject matter ranges from landscapes, florals and abstracts, but color and composition are always top of mind. In the end what keeps Charlene going back to the studio are the surprises that happen during the painting process, and how the direction of a painting can sometimes take on a life of its own, resulting in nothing at all like what was planned. That is the most satisfying experience.

Charlene has been painting for many years and participated in too many art classes to list. She is a member of CARFAC, and attended Kenderdine Campus at Emma Lake during many summers. She has participated in a number of art shows over the years, including shows at Hues Art Supply in Saskatoon and an annual weekend exhibition at the Thickwood Hills Studio Trail in the Shell Lake, Saskatchewan area.

Charlene lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
